Director's Message

“I would like to welcome the leaders of tomorrow to the Model United Nations today! It is good to have you all here as a timely reminder that the purpose of our organisation is to help future generations. The presence of such a sizable and committed group of young adults involved in global issues gives me hope. Together, you embody the ideal of the United Nations, which is individuals from all walks of life collaborating to solve issues via reasoned discussion and idea sharing.

The goal of VVPMUN is to give as many delegates as possible the best platform while encouraging original thinking about numerous solutions to challenges encountered in the real world. The Student Management Committee will organise and oversee this student-centered activity.

This program is based on novel concepts and receptive minds. Many of you have been asked to advocate for international causes or positions that you may not agree with personally. You will use force and fairness in doing so. The key to effective diplomacy is having an open mind and the capacity to comprehend and evaluate all points of view, even those that conflict with your own. Your conference is certainly unique because of your openness of other points of view. It will be important, in my opinion, when you take on leadership duties in the twenty-first century.

People count on us to contribute to a world that is healthier and wealthier. The Millennium Development Goals are running out of time, and several regions could fall short. India is currently the world’s fastest-growing power at the same moment. More difficulties with conflicts and rising inequality are expected this year. Prices for food and commodities could rise, which could lead to more instability. People look to us to advocate for a more equitable society. It is imperative that we assist in disseminating its message and recommit to the fight of truly universal human rights. You have the ability to think outside the box as future leaders and help address the issues that the world community is experiencing.

When delegates gather around laptops, they will be able to observe collaborative learning in action as they pool their ideas, advocate for support, and work together to find solutions to real-world issues. As students conduct research on these issues and compose intricate resolutions in the sophisticated and technical language of the UN, it will help promote autonomous learning.

VVPMUN will assist students in honing their public speaking abilities. A lot of delegates tell us that MUN is the first time they’ve ever had to give a speech in front of their peers. We have repeatedly witnessed quiet, reserved individuals reach their full potential and express their views and opinions in original ways. They develop confidence and humility.

Allow me to congratulate all of you on achieving the fastest career advancement in the diplomatic service: you came to this hall as junior delegates and will leave as ambassadors! Greetings, young leaders! I appreciate your dedication and hope you all have an incredibly interesting conference.”
