Model United Nations (MUN) Rules and Regulations

Dear Delegates,
Greetings from Vishwa Vidyapeeth!
Please go through the details Rules and regulations to be followed during VVPMUN.

Registration Process:

  • Registrations shall be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Allotments will be given considering preference and experience.
  • Ensure that the phone number submitted at the time of registration is a WhatsApp number.
  • A valid ID proof (school ID, Aadhar Card, etc.) must be submitted at the time of registration. The photo must be clear and visible.

Dress Code:

  • The dress code is Western formal. Indian formals are allowed for the AIPPM. No skirts or shorts, sleeveless wears are NOT allowed for girls.
  • No school uniforms or emblems can be shown during the conference.
  • Professional Appearance: Clothes should be neat, clean, and well-fitted. Avoid overly casual or distracting clothing.
  • Footwear: Closed-toe dress shoes or formal flats are appropriate. Avoid sandals or sneakers unless they are formal and appropriate.
  • Accessories: Minimal and tasteful accessories are encouraged. Avoid excessive jewelry or accessories that may detract from a professional appearance. School will not take any responsibility in losing your belongings.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Respect cultural norms and sensitivities. If in doubt, opt for conservative choices.
  • Grooming: Maintain a well-groomed appearance. Hair should be neatly styled, and facial hair (if applicable) should be well-trimmed.
  • Personal Hygiene: Ensure proper personal hygiene to maintain a professional and respectful environment.

Reporting Issues

If a delegate/delegation faces any of the issues mentioned in the “Rules to follow during the Conference” or anything else deemed unfit, the following steps can be followed to report the same:
    • Providing Proof:
  • Suitable proof must be provided to corroborate the complaint.
    • Reporting:
  • The complaint must be made through the teacher responsible for that particular participant or delegation.

Committee Rules

Reporting Time:
  • Delegates must report to the campus between 7:30 am and 8:15 am.
  • Any participant failing to arrive on time must explain their tardiness to the EB members.
  • Anti-Harassment Policy:Delegates are requested to follow the anti-harassment policy at all times within the campus and in all interactions with anyone involved at VVPMUN.

No vulgarity or inappropriate language/gestures will be tolerated.

 

ID Cards:

– Delegates are required to wear the ID cards given to them on ALL the days of the conference at all times on campus. Failure to do so will result in disqualifications.

Cooperation:

  • We expect the active cooperation of everyone to make VVPMUN a memorable experience.
  • The decision of the Executive Board Members is final.
Other important rules and regulations!
  1. No Vulgarity:
    • No vulgarity will be tolerated at any stage of the conference.
  2. Language and Conduct:
    • No abusive language or slurs against other delegates, logistic members, organizers, teachers, or executive board members will be tolerated.
    • Racial, religious, and/or sexual comments will lead to immediate disqualification.
  3. Messaging:
    • Messaging fellow delegates, logistic members, teachers, Executive Board members, or any person present unnecessarily will result in a warning for the first offense, followed by disqualification for subsequent offenses if deemed fit.
  4. Cyberbullying:
    • Cyberbullying of ANY kind, whether on social media (Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, etc.) or via phone call, will result in immediate action by the organizers. The cyber security department shall be contacted in case of any serious violations.
  5. Influence in Bloc Formation/Voting:
    • In the process of bloc formation and/or voting for resolutions, delegates found exercising undue influence on other delegates by power/experience shall be immediately disqualified.

No outside food is allowed. STRICTLY NON-VEG, soft drinks or any other beverages are not allowed inside the campus.

Any violation of the aforementioned rules and regulations will result in immediate disqualification. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
