In the current global landscape, we witness a wrenching scenario where the fundamental human, social, and cultural rights of many are being relinquished. A significant portion of the world suffers under the weight of pressing and concerning situations. The preservation and protection of these rights, which encompass the overall well-being of people, is of utmost necessity. There is an urgent need for a global advocate that stands against any form of disregard for these rights. This need is fulfilled by a crucible of global compassion, where the world’s conscience is forged in the fires of responsibility. The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) embodies this role, a symphony of diverse voices, weaving threads of understanding into a tapestry of hope for a better and more equitable world. In the face of the Rohingya crisis, the UNHRC’s mission becomes even more critical, addressing the dire human rights violations and striving for justice and dignity for all affected individuals. The UNHRC at VVP-MUN’24 will deliberate on the issues concerning the Rohingya people from Myanmar.
