Dear Esteemed Delegates, Advisors, and Guests,

It is with great honor and enthusiasm that I extend to you all a warm welcome to the VVP-MUN 2024. This conference, transitioning from online editions, will be Vishwa Vidyapeeth Group of Institutions first physical iteration of their VVP Model United Nations.

Our world has witnessed an evolution of thought and a revolution of ideas. A shift from monarchic rule to democratic principles, a shift from conventional thought to progressive thinking, and a shift in prioritizing and realizing the true meaning of the ‘Spirit of Inquiry’, as in our constitution. This edition VVP-MUN’24 in its purest form aims to deliver on an impactful experience to all its participants, by way of presenting a platform to those who seek knowledge regarding the world they live in by way of a simulation of the United Nations.

Dag Hammarskjöld, the second Secretary-General of the United Nations, once remarked, “The UN was not created to take mankind to heaven, but to save humanity from hell.” In the same spirit, VVP-MUN 2024 conference seeks not just to debate and discuss but to inspire action and change. Our aim is to foster a deep understanding of democracy, diplomacy, negotiation, research and presentation -as a way of life.

VVP-MUN 2024 aspires to provide a platform where young leaders, knowledge seekers, can engage in meaningful dialogue, exploring the confluence of culture, commerce, and science. Vishwa Vidyapeeth group of Institutions envision a global community where creative intelligence intertwines itself with moral integrity, and where knowledge and wisdom prevail over ignorance and lies. This conference is not merely an event; but a continued platform towards building an ecosystem of cooperation and mutual respect, guided by the spirit of inquiry and togetherness.

As the Secretary General of VVP-MUN2024, I would like to say this, let us embrace the diversity of thought, community and culture and let us remember that the real change starts with us, and it starts with being informed. Come to VVP-MUN’24 for 6 meticulously crafted committees and its iteration of continuing the ‘tradition of excellence’. Come to VVP-MUN’24 because you will find yourself in the shoes of real diplomats, tackling real world problems and seeking solutions through diplomacy, negotiation and compromise. Come to VVP-MUN24’ for the friendships, valuable memories and the knowledge gained. Come to VVP-MUN24’, because you’ll love it.
